21 years on the tools. 20 days to a website worthy of every one of them.

Jamie Craig had spent two decades building some of the finest brickwork in Melbourne's east. His website was three pages on Wix with placeholder copy. We fixed that — brand, style guide, and a 12-page Next.js build — in under three weeks.

Where things stood

A website that
didn't do him justice.

Jamie is the kind of tradesman who earns referrals by leaving a job site cleaner than he found it and sending clients photos of the finished work before they've even had a chance to ask. His Google reviews say it all.

His website said none of that. Three pages on Wix. A headline that read "JC Brick and Blocklaying." Body copy with a literal placeholder — "over X years of experience." A Wix watermark in the footer. No service pages, no suburb targeting, no reviews, no award mention.

He'd originally spoken to Sara, then decided to try a cheaper option. He saw the result. He called back the same week. Once he saw what a proper multi-page build looked like, there was no going back to a single landing page.

What it wasn't doing

  • 3 pages total — Home, About, Contact
  • "Over X years of experience" — live placeholder copy
  • No service pages, no suburb targeting
  • No reviews, no award, no trust signals
  • Wix watermark in the footer

The new site

Brand first.
Then every page built to rank and convert.

We started with the brand — logo refinement and a proper style guide — so the website had a foundation to build from. Then the copy. Then the build. Every decision made with one goal: a site that performs as hard as Jamie does.

How it happened

20 days. Deposit to live.

Days 1 to 3

Brand & discovery. Logo refined, style guide locked. Colour palette, typography, tone of voice — all agreed before copy began.

Days 4 to 8

Copy written. All page copy written by Sara. 10 page types, 35 pages total. Sent to Jamie for review and sign-off.

Days 9 to 16

Build in Cursor. Developer handover pack delivered. Next.js build — 12 pages, 23 suburb pages, schema, metadata, gallery.

Days 17 to 20

Review & launch. Jamie reviewed the preview site. Final tweaks. Form and CRM wiring. Live on jcbricklaying.com.au.

The result

A site that finally looks like the work behind it.

The site went live 20 days after Jamie paid his deposit. It's a 12-page Next.js build with 23 suburb pages, seven dedicated service pages, a full gallery, client-approved copy on every page, JSON-LD schema, llms.txt for AI discoverability, and a brand identity that finally reflects what JC Brick & Blocklaying actually is.

The suburb pages mean Jamie now has a genuine shot at ranking for "bricklayer Ringwood," "retaining wall Doncaster," "outdoor fireplace Healesville" — searches his competitors aren't even set up to compete for. The schema and AIEO structure means when someone asks an AI assistant who the best bricklayer in Melbourne's east is, Jamie's business has a real chance of being the answer.

It's early days for lead data — the site just launched. But Jamie's first reaction to the preview link said everything we needed to know about whether we got it right.

  • Brand identity refreshed — logo, style guide, colour palette, typography
  • 12-page Next.js website, live on Vercel
  • 7 dedicated service pages — fireplaces, retaining walls, remedial, mortar matching, heritage, feature walls, new builds
  • 23 suburb pages covering Melbourne's entire eastern service area
  • Full copywriting — every word researched, structured, and client-approved
  • JSON-LD schema for LocalBusiness, Services, and FAQs
  • llms.txt for AI and LLM search discoverability
  • SEO-optimised metadata and alt text across all pages
  • Award badge, Google reviews, and social proof wired throughout
  • Mobile-first, fast-loading, accessible, and ready for leads

"I genuinely couldn't believe how good it looked. Sara put everything into this — my experience, my services, everything that makes my business what it is. It's proper got me hyped. If you're a tradie who's been putting off getting your website sorted, just call her."
